"Please, friend, don't yell so loud..." You hear a groan from the inner chamber and grin, wandering into the dark cavern. A light noise catches your attention and you turn to see a small bronze hatchling watching you sleepily. "Don't mind 'em, Ardu..." The last words are muffled by something. You duck underneath your friend's newly acquired curtain and burst out in laughter at what you see. His face is burried in the rushes on his bed, and his shirt is tangled in one arm. He immediately groans at your loud laughter, trying to untangle his shirt and put it over his ears. "Would you please shut up, the echoes in here are terrible..." "Maybe you'll finally learn why so few dragonriders have hang-overs." You grin mischieviously as he looks up at you and rolls his eyes. "Sorry, could you hear me? Do you need me to speak louder?" He waves a hand at you. "Oh, be quiet already." As he rolls over and sits up you can see that he isn't mad at you but does have an annoyed look on his face. "I swear I'll never celebrate again as long as I live. I'll grow up to be a hermit, I'll live all alone in my weyr and only come out for wing practices..." "He looks worth it to me." You turn your head back towards the curtain, then turn with surprise as he scoffs. He's grinning lightly. "Yes, Arduth is everything I could have asked for. He's fairly intelligent for a Hatchling, he's polite about when he needs to be fed, oiled, washed, though he doesn't like Enki he hasn't bitten her or anything yet, and he's very inquisitive... perhaps a bit too much. Kept me up half the night asking me what pink bubbly was, and if it gave me such a headache why did I drink so much of it, and on... and on... and on..." As he repeated himself he stood up with a broad grin on his face. "He's great, though. Simply wonderful. He's... perfect." The silly smile that comes to his face makes you wonder if perhaps he really is still a bit drunk. Enki appears and lands on his shoulder, crooning quietly next to his ear. She's dealt with her Impressed's hang-overs enough to know what to do around him at those times. "Well, want to go meet him? It's about time for him to be fed again, anyhow." At this, Enki screeches angrily and disappears /between/. You watch the spot she left for a moment, then turn back to C'glion. He shrugs, then grins lightly. "I guess she doesn't like him either..." Then the two of you turn and duck behind the curtain. A few months after that...
